The Wet Boys

“From the world’s greatest aerial demo team to the U.S. military’s most classified asset. We don’t rehearse. We execute Things.” – Strategic WET Command

Carrier Air Wing ZERO (CVW-0) and the Wet Boys exist first and foremost as a fictional unit inside an original creative universe. The characters, ships, squadrons, patches, and operations depicted throughout this website and the Wet Death series are works of imagination. While they are grounded in authentic aviation culture, terminology, and hardware for realism, CVW-0 “Deep Scythe,” the USS Leviathan (CVN-00), and its subordinate units are not real-world military organizations. They are part of an evolving narrative project built to celebrate naval aviation, storytelling, and design.

At the same time, the Wet Boys are a real Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) community and virtual flight group. The squadron flies in DCS using highly detailed aircraft modules such as the F/A-18C Hornet and other carrier-based platforms. What began as a tight-knit group of pilots flying precision formations and custom liveries grew into a structured virtual organization with themed teams, coordinated missions, and a strong culture of camaraderie. The realism in the lore comes directly from the group’s deep respect for aviation procedures, tactics, and disciplined flying inside the simulator.

In short, CVW-0 is the cinematic mythology — the Wet Boys are the pilots behind the controls. The stories expand the universe; the simulator keeps it alive. Everything you see here blends fictional narrative with real virtual aviation, built by a community that values skill, creativity, humor, and shared experience in the skies of DCS.
