SERVICE RECORD

AJ “Alexa” Marshall's career began in the United States Navy as an avionics technician, one of the people who keep the technology behind naval aviation running when failure simply isn't an option. The work taught him discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm while everything around him was going wrong, lessons that outlasted his enlistment by a long shot.

When his time in uniform ended, he traded flight decks for something more important: becoming a father. He found work as a school resource officer, where his discipline and protective instincts gave him a new kind of purpose, and outside of work he coached baseball, teaching kids the same lessons about teamwork, confidence, and getting back up after striking out. For a while, life was simple.

Then ESSP came calling. Nobody is entirely sure how ESSP found him, or exactly what was in the file that landed on his desk, but ESSP saw what a lot of recruiters would have missed: technical grounding from the Navy, leadership and patience from his years as an officer and a coach, and (thanks to fatherhood) something the military itself never gave him. A reason to come home.

Now Alexa finds himself back around aircraft, flying alongside pilots with their own questionable histories and even more questionable decision-making abilities. The difference this time is that he isn't just fixing the jets anymore. He's flying them into the impossible right alongside everyone else.
