In the aftermath of Diamond Harbor, Carrier Air Wing Zero has accomplished the impossible, but victory has come with a price. Two of the Wet Boys never came home, and somewhere beyond the reach of American forces, the truth about what happened to them is beginning to surface. With Washington demanding silence and JSOC unable to use the very intelligence systems designed to find missing Americans, CVW-0 is forced to search for answers without revealing that the search is happening at all.

What follows sends the crew of the USS Leviathan digging into forgotten corners of American military history, resurrecting old ideas, calling in favors, and once again proving that “obsolete” is a word the Wet Boys have never particularly respected. As tensions rise aboard Leviathan, the search begins uncovering something far more dangerous than two missing pilots. Someone knows more about Diamond Harbor than they should, and every hour that passes increases the possibility that America’s most closely guarded air wing is no longer a secret.

For the first time, CVW-0 is not being sent to destroy a target. They are going to bring their own home. But finding them will require the Wet Boys to gamble with technology, lives, and secrets that were never supposed to see daylight again. Somewhere in the darkness, the enemy is moving.
