FIREBALL
VF-32
// About

SERVICE RECORD

Fireball is the kind of pilot who has been flying long enough that nobody is completely sure whether he was assigned to the F-14 or helped design it. A career fighter pilot with an unhealthy attachment to big engines, sweeping wings, and aircraft that actively try to kill their maintainers, Fireball found his natural home in VF-32 Wet Iron aboard USS Leviathan. His experience, calm demeanor, and complete lack of concern for what year it currently is made him an obvious choice for CVW-0's Tomcat squadron.

Around the squadron, Fireball is recognizable by three things: the sunglasses, the grin, and the absolute confidence of a man who has already watched several generations of younger pilots discover mistakes he made twenty years ago. He rarely raises his voice. He simply watches bad decisions unfold, offers a deeply disappointing head shake, and waits for someone to eventually admit that Fireball was right.

Today, Fireball flies the upgraded F-14B with VF-32 Wet Iron, where he serves as equal parts fighter pilot, squadron elder, and living reminder that experience beats enthusiasm when enthusiasm is trying to kill you. He maintains that he isn't old, the rest of CVW-0 is simply alarmingly young, and as long as the Tomcat keeps starting, Fireball has absolutely no intention of retiring.
