SERVICE RECORD

Paul “TANKERS” Clock is one of the most technically gifted and eccentric pilots in Carrier Air Wing ZERO (CVW-0). Starting his career as an F-14 Tomcat specialist, he earned a reputation for knowing every rivet, circuit, and aerodynamic quirk of the legendary fighter, often saying he could “hear when a Tomcat was lying.”

When the Navy began its transition to the F/A-18E Super Hornet, TANKERS not only adapted but mastered the platform, bringing the aggressive, analog flying style of the Tomcat era into the digital age.

His callsign, TANKERS, doesn’t come from fuel management like most assume, it’s from his unholy obsession with tanks. He studies them, collects them, and can identify nearly every model ever built by engine note alone. Fellow pilots joke that he could call in a CAS strike using only a tank tread pattern.
